Chiat's Views of the internet compared to my own
Chiat says “I believe in technology, for all its weaknesses, will be our savior” (462). Chiat tries to explains that the internet will solve the misleading and single focus of the media. The internet gives society a chance to explain their side of the story. It gives the average Joe of the country a chance to have his voice heard against the big powerful multi media corporations that, like the average Joe, has one spot on the internet to express themselves through a new wavelength of a worldwide publishing company that accepts everyone. It's hard for me as a person to agree or disagree with Chiat's beliefs. His point brings up strong pro's and strong cons. In one way I strongly agree that every person should have the chance to distribute their point of view on something that is very important to them, and on the other hand you know that there are rebels without a cause that are doing nothing but stirring up trouble by putting false and contradiction to the truth. By giving the average Joe this power, raises the risk of idiotic people that put things on the internet that are nothing but false statements. But by the end of the day if I had to pick a side, I'd probably leave it to the professionals of media, as long as they shared of variety of view points that didn't give a narrow minded view of what is going on in the world but what is going on in the world through every view that is available.

True, Chiat brings up some excellent pits and cherries concerning the internet, and I think you have made some nice headway in terms of the risks of putting the average Joe in power.
As long as you remain in the camp that "considers the source," I think your head is on straight when encountering any media information. Good work.
